GeoCaching

Welcome to Geocaching in Chamberlains Park!
Geocaching is like a competitive treasure hunt with clues and, in place of a map, GPS coordinates. The word is broken down into the prefix 'geo', meaning Earth (Greek) and 'cache', meaning hidden items. Using the GPS coordinates and other clues provided, you can search for 'treasures' like geocoins. Information on these areas is stored online at www.geocaching.com.

Anybody can hide a 'treasure' an load coordinates and clues to the website - you can also register on the site for free to access geocaching coordinates from all over the world, including in your own neighbourhood. There are also large competitions held in parks and trails for prizes to the first to find all prizes!

At Chamberlains Park, there are currently three geocaches (listed on the geocaching.com here):
Chamberlains Park #1
Chamberlains Park #2
Chamberlains Park #3

Register with geocaching.com, search for these caches (search by cache name here)  and have fun exploring the trail looking for 'treasures'!

Rules

1. Respect the park - no litter, no disturbing of plant/wild life, no vandalism.
2. Report any damages of the cache to the creator (online) or to CPAC (Contact).
3. Cache creators are responsible for their cache(s).
4. Do not leave food in the area of the cache (so it will not attract animals).
5. Let everyone enjoy the fun of finding a cache - keep your find a secret!
6. Ensure that you leave the cache covered and sealed before leaving.
7. Have fun!
